The region holds al-jabal al-akhdar (the green mountain) landscape with the richest vegetation and highest species diversity in the country. field study of the vegetation was carried. The green mountain well worth the visit - only accessible by four wheel drive, but that's because the police only allow 4wd's up the mountain. it is a good road, just a bit windy..
